Storms

I am so tired of the storms! I am ready for some sunshine!

When the storm hit last Friday I was at work and my parents were at our house with Gavin, he did great though - my mom said he was a little anxious but who wouldn't be with 80+ mph wind rocking your house! We had some minor damage, thankfully we have insurance so we will be fine. My heart does go out to some of our neighbors who did have some significant damage, so scary to think that could have been us - God is gracious!

Last night we had to go to the basement again.....at 11:30 or so - needless to say Gavin and mommy were not very happy! As we were cuddling on the couch downstairs I was trying to convince Gavin that he was safe and everything was ok and he kept saying "Thunder, downstairs, sirens," over and over again - poor guy, he did calm down when Daddy got the tv to work and then the lights went out and we had to light some candles - which was completely fascinating to Gavin so all was ok! Eventually he looked up at me and said, "Momma-I wanna go to bed!" Me too, baby, me too!

We did get to go back upstairs and after a little convincing that it was not morning and that he needed to go back to sleep it was a good night! When he woke up this morning he said, "Momma!" I went in to get him and he said, "Snack - I wanna cheetos!" I guess getting up in the middle of the night made him hungry!

He is such a funny kid and I love him so much!
